Why Saam exists

The library books, the present for Saturday, the email from school, the day the bins go out. It's never one big thing; it's a hundred small ones that add up to a full day's work nobody sees. Whoever carries it knows exactly how heavy invisible work can get.

Saam was built by a parent who watched this up close and decided technology should finally push in the right direction here: not one more app to keep up with, but something that takes the keeping up off your hands. A family assistant in the literal sense: something that does the work, rather than showing you the work.

What we believe

• Saying it out loud should be enough. Every extra step is a reason to just remember it yourself instead.
• Sharing fairly is the whole point. Not tracking who does what, but making sure it evens out on its own.
• Calm, not pressure. No streaks, no countdowns, no guilt. What we promise is a lighter head.
• Privacy isn't a footnote. Speech is converted on your own phone, Saam only knows about your children what you say or enter yourself (and you can always delete it), and whatever we hold on to temporarily gets deleted automatically.
